Description
Made with locally sourced red and yellow bullace plums, known as 'corcodușe' in Romania, this unique jam offers a delightful blend of sweet and tangy flavours, enhanced by the warmth of rum, the gentle spice of ginger and the comforting aroma of cinnamon.
The bullace is a wild plum closely related to the damson and sloe. Bullaces have a sharp, tart taste which makes them perfect for preserves such as jams, jellies and chutneys. With reduced added sugar, this jam brings out the fruit's natural richness and makes it perfect for pairing with fresh breads and cheeses or as a luxurious topping for desserts... We love it dolloped on top of a vanilla rice pudding.
