WHO IS CULMEA FRUCTELOR?

Culmea Fructelor is a family business that started with the passion for the cultivation and utilisation of fruits such as sea buckthorn, blueberries, aronia, raspberries and blackberries, but also goji, walnut, hazelnut and ginkgo biloba. The history starts 115 years, ago when 2 ancestors bought two hectares of land thinking that he wanted a big family. The land on which the family has been working since the beginning is now part of the complex of agricultural areas from which they harvest the chosen fruits for Culmea Fructelor.

WHAT DO THEY DO?

The now produce juices, syrups and other goodies, in a traditional manufacturing system, from fruits grown with passion on the lands of Covasna.

Culmea Fructelor is based in Covasna, a place which is also known as the resort of 1000 health springs, a blessed place. The soil is strongly mineralised, due to its location in a volcanic area, and the high iron content has an important effect in intensifying the flavour of the fruits grown here. The air in Covasna is strongly ozonated and negatively ionised, which has a positive influence on all living organisms. Due to the geographical location and altitude of the region, the resort has a subalpine climate. All of these factors bring multiple benefits to fruit trees grown in the area.
