Miedăria is located in the idyllic Valea Buzăului, near the UNESCO designated Buzău Geopark, where tradition meets creativity to revive one of the world's oldest alcoholic beverages: mead. 

Established in 2021, Miedăria is dedicated to crafting mead that honours its ancient roots while reimagining it for todays tastes. By sourcing honey from local beekeepers and using environmentally friendly practises, Miedăria combines sustainability, history and innovation to create drinks that are as meaningful as they are delicious.

WHAT DO THEY DO?

Miedăria specialises in crafting light sparkling mead, a modern reinterpretation of this ancient drink. With only 5% alcohol, their mead offers a low alcohol alternative designed for social moments. Using high quality, locally sources honey, pristine water from the Subcarpathians and carefully selected yeasts, Miedăria ferments and naturally carbonates their mead to produce a semi-sweet drink with fine refreshing bubbles. Each bottle represents a commitment to tradition, quality and the environment, ensuring that every sip contributes to biodiversity and supports local communities.
