Description

WHAT IS 'HEBE'?

This product is made by alcoholic fermentation of its elements which are organic Romanian acacia honey and organic whole sea buckthorn fruit paste. Once activated the elements become enriched in biologically valuable compounds. By consuming this product the body is offered a functional food of unparalleled value.

WHAT IS A FUNCTIONAL FOOD?

Also known as nutraceuticals, functional foods can be defined as dietary items that offer health benefits beyond their nutritional value. They contain components that have the potential to provide medical or health benefits as well as protect against disease, prevent nutrient deficiencies and promote proper growth and development.

WHAT CAN 'HEBE' DO FOR THE BODY?

'HEBE' is a powerful, energising product and when it is consumed as a regular part of your diet, it can offer the body consistent effects. It is extremely useful for supporting general well-being, an excellent aid to solve many digestion problems, it increases the capacity for physical effort and mental concentration, improves the elasticity & hydration of the skin, results in rapid regeneration of wounds and deep restoration of the skin and joints.

RECCOMENDED USAGE

The recommended consumption of 'HEBE' is 30-35g daily to see consistent results. There are no contraindications for the product other than for the ingredients it contains which are whole sea buckthorn fruit and quality controlled honey.

SEA BUCKTHORN BENEFITS

Sea buckthorn fruits are rich in flavonoids and antioxidants, fat or water soluble vitamins (A, B, C, D, E, F, PK, B complex), phytosterois, polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega 3, 6, 7, 9), amino acids and minerals (iron, calcium), carbohydrates and proteins. The vitamin C content is particularly high, over 10 times that of oranges.

There are exceptionally high amounts of lipids in sea buckthorn compared to other fruits & vegetables. Lipids enhance the bioavailability of carotenoids, facilitating their absorption in humans.

Sea buckthorn seed oil is characterised by a high content of oleic acid (17%) and a one to one ration of omega-3 and omega-6. The equivalence relation between the two omega oils is particularly important as it intervenes in the regulation of thousands of metabolic functions. Almost every biological function is interconnected with the balance between omega-6 and omega-3.

Due to this exceptional composition, sea buckthorn has a wide range of different biological, physiological and medicinally active effects, which have been extensively studied and described.

FERMENTATION BENEFITS

With the exceptionally rich content of sea buckthorn in vitamins, omega fatty acids, the results of consuming sea buckthorn products can still be limited because by consuming plant products most of the biologically valuable compounds are poorly assimilated. Fermentation is widely recognised as a highly efficient method of releasing these valuable compounds and making them bioavailable. During this process, many other very useful compounds for the body also appear.

THE BIOTECHNOLOGY

The developed biotechnology used to create this product introduces completely new stages of sea buckthorn processing, in particular through the use of alcoholic fermentation, which finally obtains functional foods of high value that are fully preserved and have a creamy texture, which are non-alcoholic and easy to store and consume, which are rich in existing biologically valuable components in the fruit and the honey used, bio-activated or formed in the preparation process.

Melinis also use advanced crystallisation technology to create their products, which allows for the combination or fusion of fresh fruits with natural honey at temperatures below 35 degrees. The result is this deliciously intense flavoured, delicate fruit & honey cream.
