A damask rose flavoured șerbet... Firstly, what is șerbet (pronounced sherbet)? Șerbet is a traditional Romanian delicacy that is a thick, opaque fruit flavoured fondant sugar. So thick in consistency that traditionally it is served with a glass of water to dip it in. A unique confectionary that is utterly delicious and a real treat, especially considering the work involved to create it - a true labour of love.
In Romanian it was traditionally served when guests came to visit, possibly alongside a coffee. This one is flavoured with damask rose and it has a delicate, floral and fragrant flavour - the perfect sweet treat.
