Description

This black cherry jam is prepared in the traditional Romanian style of dulceață: where whole ripe cherries are gently cooked until they glisten, suspended in a thick glossy, syrup. The result is a preserve that is both elegant and indulgent, with fruit that retains its shape, bursting with rich, sweet flavour in every bite.

Made with just two ingredients, black cherries and sugar, and no artificial preservatives or flavourings, it showcases the fruit in its purest and most traditional form. Spoon it over pancakes, swirl it into yoghurt, drizzle it on cakes and ice cream, or simply enjoy it on fresh bread for a taste of Romanian summer at its finest.

Behind the jar is Lădița Verde, a small family producer from the village of Macea in Arad county, where fruits and vegetables are grown with care and transformed into preserves following recipes passed down through generations. Each jam is made by hand in small batches, ensuring authentic flavours and tradition in every jar.
