WHO ARE KOKOWA?
Kokowa is a bean-to-bar chocolate maker based in Sfântu Gheorge, Transylvania, founded by passionate Oana, a chocolate enthusiast with a big dream. After over six years in the premium Belgian chocolate industry and travelling to cocoa-producing countries in Southeast Asia, Oana returned home to create something different: chocolate that's both delicious and good for you.
What started as a personal mission to create guilt-free indulgence quickly evolved into a sustainable brand rooted in ethical values, transparency and artisanal craft. Today, Kokowa brings joy to those looking for something naturally sweet and thoughtfully made.
WHAT DO THEY DO?
At Kokowa, everything starts with the best organic cocoa beans, sourced from sustainable farms and transformed in house using the bean-to-bar method. That means the entire journey - from selecting the bean to crafting the final bar - happens under one roof, ensuring total control over quality, ethics and flavour.
Kokowa's creations are designed to nourish, not just delight. The goal? To offer sweets without remorse, using only ingredients that are clean, plant based and nutritionally valuable. What began with a simple jar of cacao nib peanut bitter sweetened with figs and dates, shared with friends on instagram, has grown into a small but might community of people who believe that sweet treats should be good for both body and soul.
THE PRODUCE...
Kokowa produce a range of bean to bar chocolate tablets, cocoa bean based nut spreads or butters as well as a range of cacao based drinks including speciality hot chocolate, cacao tea and ceremonial grade cacao. Every Kokowa product is born out of respect for the cocoa bean. Whether it's a silky smooth chocolate bar or a decadent nutty cacao spread, each product is made from 100% natural ingredients, without refined sugars or preservatives.
