Soculent is a Romanian start-up born from a passion for natural, botanical refreshments. Founded by a small team with backgrounds in gastronomy, entrepreneurship and product development, Soculent set out to reimagine socată - the beloved, traditional, fermented elderflower drink of Romania. Their mission is rooted in memory and tradition: every sip of their fermented elderflower drink is designed to transport you back to the hills of Transylvania.
WHAT DO THEY DO?
Soculent produces slow fermented, non alcoholic socată, honouring an old recipe but giving it a modern twist by offering it in sleek, infinitely recyclable cans. The entire process take us up two weeks, with no shortcuts allowed. By using elderflowers sourced from Transylvania and only natural ingredients, Soculent stays true to tradition while making it possible to enjoy socată all year round.
