Description

An authentic, Romanian jam recipe made with only quince & sugar. That's it! 100% natural & free from additives & preservatives. Prepared in the traditional way - in a cauldron like pan over a wood fire, by hand. This jam is boiled at a low temperature and with a minimum of sugar in order to preserve the vitamins, aroma & colour of the fruit.

The curious and often forgotten fruit quince makes this fragrant, slightly floral, sweet jam with a beautiful golden pink colour. It is delicious served simply on toast or paired with cold meats (especially game meats) & cheeses - in particular a marbled blue cheese such as Roquefort or a hard ages sheeps cheese such as Manchego.

Quince 60%, sugar 40%, lemon juice

Storage

Store in a cool dry place. After opening store in the refrigerator & consume within 10 days.
